Ophrys reinholdii


Perennial herbaceous plant with 2 oval tubers. Stems are 15-40 cm high, with 3-6 oblong-lanceolate rosette leaves. The inflorescence is thin, with 2-8 flowers. The flowers are pink coloured, located wide apart, 12-16 mm long, 4-7 mm wide.
The two petals are 4-7 mm long, pink, fibrous. The labellum is trilobed, the middle part strongly curved, velvet-fiber, dark-violet-brown, sometimes almost black, the back piece is white, with a varied, irregular shape.
This orchid blooms from April to May.
Insects pollinate the flowers and the propagation is succeeded by seeds.
